In the year 2004, in the heart of a growing cityHowrah,West Bengal , a small 500 sq. ft. shed buzzed with dreams bigger than its walls. That’s where the journey of Sunkem Construction Chemicals began — not with fanfare, but with focus. With just two products in hand — an integral waterproofing compound for concrete and a polymer-based roof waterproofing coating — we set out to solve real problems faced at construction sites every day.
We didn’t come from a legacy. We built our own.
In those early days, every batch we mixed, every formula we tested, every feedback we received became a stepping stone. Within just two years, what started as a humble initiative transformed into a full-fledged R&D-driven company. Our product line grew to 26 SKUs — including admixtures, epoxy flooring systems, tile adhesives, concrete repair mortars, and a wide range of high-performance waterproofing solutions.
